Love colts but I am curious as to some thoughts on this specific model. I will more then likely be picking it up soon (nothing but good results) but curious was this a limited run? If so how many, and what is your "value" on it..... A bit vague I know but all the reading and talking about it I need another opinion(s) to make my final decision on the details about it. Any help is appreciated thanks!

    From a Colt Forum
"It's a "Custom Carry Government," and was a limited edition Talo run, only 800 were made. Interesting that your BIL's serial # is 1001, as I understand that there were only supposed to be 800 made. Mine is #202...

If you Google 'Colt Talo CCG' you'll find discussions on this model. It has a National Match barrel, none of the foolish front cocking serrations, thin wood grips, and great Novack sights. I really like the black sights in the back, and a nice fiber front sight. I also like the traditional straight-up rear cocking serrations.

All in all a very nice, business like set up. I'm sure your BIL is going to like it...

I just bought one last week, and love it. It was sitting in the case at my LGS, and i just couldn't walk away. Mine s very well made/fitted, with a great trigger. I'll try to post a picture later."

Seems like a informed post so I would say yours will be 1 of 800.

Lot's of positive write ups if you "Bing" them... (I try to not Google anymore)

Appreciate the information! Yea some of the research I have done already came up with that information but again I was getting multiple results, so in lieu of that I came here.

I understand they are more practical then "pretty" but to each their own, that being said what was the cost (if you don't mind me asking) at the LGS? Also looks like the CCG# is 0277, there is no 1, main reason I am was curious to the production because I am getting different results and a bit confused.

I can attest to standard Colt barrels. 15 yard bench rest.

So here she is, a little gun porn while I wait for more info on her. Had some nice grips lying around so I dressed her up a little. I know I got a hell of a deal, main reason I picked her up among others ;), but more information on her from those that know more about it would be nice. The "interweb" seems to be fighting with itself (again main reason I came here).

    -Thanks
