LIQUIDATING THE SAFE!
Here is a very special rifle to me. It was the first bolt action I ever owned, and it has been a reliable trooper for the various times I have shot it. It is a 1939 dated JP Sauer & Sohn K98k that has undergone the russian capture and re-arsenal process.
If you know the history on these rifles, you will know that they were torn down and rebuilt with mis-matching parts and then force-matched via electro-stenciling.
However, this is still a K98k in every shape of the word. This rifle very likely saw action in the war and was as the name implies, captured by the Russians near the end.
Russian Captures used to be the least desirable of the K98ks, however prices have steadily increased over the years as more and more people have realized that it's still a K98k and only has a different external paintjob and non-matching numbers. I have seen some RC (Russian Captures) go for almost 900 dollars on Gunbroker.
Asking 700 dollars. Including a 30 cal can full of fed arm 8mm mauser for an extra 100 if you wish.
