Hey, I am building this chileno carbine up from a barrelled action (I got it and a 93 action with one bolt for very cheap, the 93 is pretty much done so I'm starting on the 95 and will share the bolt, lol).

It was drilled and tapped for a scope base and I'm trying to figure out what base it was for.

Front 2 holes are the standard .860in center to center but, the rear screw is about 4.275in from the middle (this is measured as if they were on the same plane even though rear is lower).

Every base I've seen is 4.3in and I'm close to giving up and trying to modify one...

Going off the rear support shape I think it might be a Redfield JR. Not sure if it needs to be a JR-MK or a JR-M as the MK is small ring but M lists 95 and 98.

Found a listing with a distance of 108mm, which is just right.

One of the frustrating things I have found with these old conversions is that just because there was a "corect" mount for a particular rifle that doesn't mean that the gunsmith used that mount

And as VinnieBoomBah: implied the only thing that made that mount "correct" was that a mount manufacture said it was. Could be as many different "correct" mounts as there are manufactures that made mounts.
