So I was in there store in McKinney,Tx last friday and picked up a December catalog on the way out the door.

I read it on the plane that night on my way back to Oregon.

I found 12ga 00 buck for $99.00 per 250 rounds, Not a great deal but i was willing to buy it at that price. So i fugured sat morning I would order 4 cases.
So I went online to order it, Hmmm price change online. It went from $99.99 to $129.99. Ok so I thought I would call and ask if I can get the catalog price since it was a december book with a printed price.

I get a lady on the phone and explain to her the price change between the book and online and asked if I could get the printed book price. She laughed in my ear and asked if I was crazy???? I thought she was kidding at first so I asked her if she was kidding? She say no. I asked again why I cant get the printed price. She say well if you dont like the online price of $129.99 your really not going to like the price I charge you. I was like ok what now? She said it was now $149.00 per 250.

I was very polite and asked how they can print a price and then expect a customer to pay $50.00 more.

Again she laughs in my ear and said "sorry you can always shop some where else"

That was an easy choice for me and I hung up....

I will never buy anything from them again...

I do not think they are as big a company as they appear, my experience has been slow responses and no responses.
Which is usually what happens when a company is big in name only but can not staff the size of the business, and you end up with
so so customer service. I have only made rare purchases, but probably won't much if they are price gouging and not honoring ads.
There are laws in many states ( just because of price gouging )that they can not refuse advertises prices unless it is a mistake
or they run out of stock. Sounds like in your case it was just the wanted to make more money and not honor their policies.

Cheaper Than Dirt has been one of the scare profiteers in the past. They are on a list of companies I won't do business with.

Oh Jimmy, you are just a big teddy bear! Hard on the outside, soft on the inside! I refuse to do business with these idiots because their prices are typically sky high! There name surely does NOT reflect their pricing!

why you think they suspended firearm sales cause there in morning? Nope cause ther waitin till mid jan when every bodys outta stock then 400% mark up due to low supply high demand

you can add Impactguns.com to the list of gougers. They jacked their prices on Arsenal rifles alone $1000 each in less than one week. I am making a list and checking it twice, don't plan of forgetting whose naughty or nice.

Let's make a list of companies that have been "price gouging", so when all of the panic buying fades away like the black plague. We can hopefully steer clear of doing business with these companies. "We" are the consumers, one power we have is that we can control where our dollars go.

is cheaper than dirt not a sponsor of this website ? I'm not sure but I thought I've seen there ads here, If so can we the members of nwf ask for them to be removed from the sponsor list and refuse there advertisement on the site ? It would send a message to others doing business like them that we will not tolerate it.

Add OKII Guns to that list. They are a sponsor on this site. I posted a WTB for Glock 17 and he PM'd me and said he sell one for $800. That is about $200 above RETAIL pricing.

I will not give him any business, nor will I ever shop at CTD or Dick's again. Nor will I buy from the smaller dealers at the gun show. Hearing massive price escalation examples of pistols and long guns. Some are actually trying to gin up fear by saying stuff like "you better buy it now. Who knows if it will be available." Well, I know it will be available because just because some loud socialists yammer on about wanting to ban a certain type of rifle, I know it won't happen and can wait a month for my favorite dealers and retailers to get more.

If they don't respect their customers, or forget what customer service means in times of momentary spike in frenzied buying by some, then they don't deserve our business.

I never forget dealers who treat me right. I also never forget dealers who jack their prices up.

Don't believe everything your local gun stores tell you...I was VERY disappointed to walk into Curt's discount last Thursday just to see them peeling the "OLD" $15 price tag and slapping on the new GREEN sticker with the $30 price tag on them. I was told by someone else who had gone in a few days later they gave them the same "distributor jacked the price" story. I am not buying into it...Curt's was gouging on parts and firearms just like many here on the forum. I was disappointed to see Curt's pulling this move, I had been impressed with their service and prices before all this crap hit the fan. Now I am not sure I will ever return as a customer again...

I was told by someone else that the reason they were jacking prices had to do with paying for overnight shipping after they were sold out on day #1 f the rush. I can see a price hike if they're paying for overnight express shipping - but if they're just profiteering because they can, screw 'em. Curts has done me right a couple times - but I won't give my cash to anyone who purposefully rapes their customers, especially on items they already had in stock and paid less for, then pull out the "wholesaler raised their rates" BS. Magpul flatly stated they have not charged one cent more to their wholesalers for their mags - so there's no reason for wholesalers or dealers to raise their rates except for being price gouging ***-wagons.
