What's the big difference between that and the 45 degree throw talons that radian makes?
Note the offset levers, that in combination with the 50* throw keep the selectors from interfering with your grip and provides a shelf for the thumb to provide positive and constant feedback as to weapon status.

I have used the Talon, in fact, one of my guns still wears one but the AFS is superior in every way imo. The owner of FCD was a co-owner or Battle Arms Development and chief designer of the original BADASS selector, when he left to form FCD he intentionally steered clear of selectors and focused on other controls. I knew when he finally came around to it they would be worth a look and sure enough years later Roger put out solid winner. No screws to Loctite, loose or damage like the BADASS and no springs/detents to wear out, rust or fail. Just a solid selector that doesn't need to be removed to install a MilSpec style trigger as it should be. I consider installation of roll pins to be SOP when it comes to ARs so I've included that roll pin size in my parts inventory as it is now my go to selector.

ETA:
BTW, Roger does offer an end cap in place of a lever for those that prefer a one sided selector, along with a 90* throw version. Basically all bases covered.

Pretty cool piece. Looks like a very high quality part.
Everything Roger offers is very high quality. He is a weapon design super geek, not just AR stuff. All my serious ARs have his controls, as mentioned, the ambi-selector, the ambi-mag release, enlarged bolt catch/release and reduced size forward assist. I have other FCD components but along with the Raptor CH and Geissele triggers those are my standard AR controls.

I'll have to post a picture to illustrate my issue. I still have the same issue with the standard RH selector switch but due to my grip change when flipping on and off I don't deal with it as I don't make contact during the interchange. When I ran the ambi I didn't have to move my grip but it would drag on my left palm due to my high grip.

Maybe I'll have to try it. Or modify one of the talons have by chopping one side of the dove tails off making it flush with the lower. Just the exact opposite of the standard GI version.

I know FCD make top tier stuff and stand behind their products. And they have the best CS.

In that case I'd probably just stick with a standard Colt reversible selector.

That's what I've been looking for!

Standard mill spec always worked for me, but I'm pretty much all converted to Gibbz side charge uppers now. At the time I made the switch, the Gibbz made the most sense if the change to single shot type bolt action became the only option other than chop saw. The only one that does not have a Gibbz upper is a DDM4v7 I prefer to leave whole.😎

I tend to always get the Vltor medium latch. I think they call it Mod 4.
Right about $50. Seems like the best deal, price vs function.

@titsonritz thanks again. Just got my lefty safety selector in the mail. Can't believe I didn't know about these sooner.
