Chaos at the range

Lets take different perspective. I am a 18 year old kid. On my phone.
I assume the girl was an adult? Worse if they were not.

You yell... going hot? OK what does that mean?
They probably think you have clips endless ammo too.
If you observed in your words ppl not paying attention and YOU enter their realm.
The duty is on you to preserve the peace and safety not them.
And you establish that but making sure anyone near by knows.

MHO stating its a gun range, as justification?
Problem with gun groups, is that everyone assumes ppl know gun lingo.
Going Hot, dumped mag, slam fire, you see where I am going?

Anyone a boater in here?
Do you just show up at the launch park in the middle and start unloading?
Or worse you pull in and stand there for an hour unloading your boat on the ramp.

I have been a gun owner all my life, i always love when I can teach.

Since we like to shout cliches at a crowd like GOING HOT, maybe asking everyone Got Ears ?
And that probably would have went the same way. Simple courtesy in my opinion could have made you the teacher at the range.
Over the guy that just started shooting.
This is not a personal attack, I am sharing experience and knowledge of how to approach ppl you do not know at a range.
Especially one unattended.

Theres a reason people sit at boat docks waiting for newbies to unload their boats.

Ive lived next to a boat dock. You dont want to live next to a public boat dock.

Something I don't really understand:

Why this is even a thread. If you cut off some old lady going 10 miles under in the fast lane is that 'Chaos on the Road'?

Why a whole mag dump? A shot or two would have given you a good idea of the crowds awareness.

You don't have better places to shoot then where people go to check targets while people are still shooting?


Overall I just don't see anything worth bragging about here. Were you hoping for a lot of 'atta boy good job and those people suck' by posting this thread?

So, like our BFs drug Tricia and I to some shooting place last night. I'm totally not into guns and stuff, I mean, they ruin my nails. I was looking on my phone at some perfect molten metallic new nail art and Tricia was painting her nails with this awesome Ocean Blue color that totally matched her eyes with this guy yelled something about it being hot, which it totally was, kinda obviously, not sure why he had to yell, must be deaf or something.

Then he shoots like, 100 bullets from his clip. Tricia and I were screaming since those ear thingys Steve and Mike gave us were messing up our hair and we took them off. Then he yelled, "range is hot then gave you 15 seconds. Its a God Damned gun range . pay attention! ". Totally didn't have to swear, and I was paying attention...to my nails.

@wired I fault you for not utilizing a suppressor, but understand if you just didn't feel like it that day. Not saying that is the end all or would make it totally safe, but it would make it a little better. I think we all deserve another video in which you're using a suppressed rifle.

Trying to see if the super safety functions ok before I threw a can on it. Silly me for going to a shooting at a range

OR we can go back as far as your childhood and who hurt you to make you this way, but that might be better done in a private conversation or with a licensed professional but I'm open to most subjects.

So far your responses in this thread do not lead me to believe you really want to discuss anything.

Rather you just want to continually state that others well being is not your concern or responsibility, you did nothing wrong and you are seeking validation of that point by posting this thread.

Not seeking validation at all. I was at a shooting range and with people unprepared to be at a shooting range. After all this Im fine with them being unprepared to be at a shooting range. Thats a relief.

The mag dump was because I was there to test mag dumps. Not hard to figure out. I wasn't there to check anyone elses ability to handle mag dumps without hearing protection. They decided to do that. Their actions not mine.

But I really want my "one" point to get across here.

We all have this tiny inner voice that tells us something is either wrong or right. You don't need to believe in God..whatever...but it's there.

Sometimes we choose not to listen to it..for many reasons. But we know we did wrong.

This isn't about gun range etiquette.
