Chaos at the range

Went to the gun range late yesterday. SC has non supervised shooting ranges. 7 or 8 shooting tables. Usually the best time to go is around 7PM. No one there. . This time there were 10 or 11 people mulling around. Girls doing their nails, staring at their phones etc. I walked up to one of the tables, set my gear down. Pulled out a rifle, put a mag in it. Said as loud as possible "Range is hot". Then I dumped a mag down range. I could hear people screaming over the gun fire. I put the gun down . One girl yelled at me " You could have said something" . I yelled back " I said range is hot then gave you 15 seconds. Its a God Damned gun range . pay attention! ". Ive been at this gun range before and had people walk out onto the range to check their targets WHILE PEOPLE WERE SHOOTING .

No. I was at a shooting range and I was shooting. Them not paying attention to verbal warnings was on them and not my problem.

15 seconds is a BS expectation, you intentionally exposed them to hearing loss. This could have been their first time target shooting.

I issued a warning that the range was hot and gave an adequate amount of time. They were not paying attention and it could have been 2 minutes, 4 minutes whatever. Thats the limit of my responsibility. They were not shooting. They were hanging out hogging the tables.

I did . I issued a warning that the range was hot. There was no one down range.

If you go to a gun range you should expect gunfire. When I shoot and there are peopel shooting around me and I take off my ear pro then that's on me.

My issue with public ranges is people that know little to nothing about guns shooting unsafely. That's a big concern. If they don't wear ear pro that's on them.
