I would like to introduce a new firearms training company located just outside of Goldendale Washington, Cerberus Training Group.
I am Steve the owner, aka wichaka on this forum. Many of you may know me from being on here for many years, I was one of the first moderators for this site.

Trying to get vendor status to be able to advertise and discuss my shooting school, been too long since I've been on here...so any help would be greatly appreciated instead of being deleted without any help.

No, this is an entirely new group.

Myself, 27yrs LE. Troy, Seal Team 6. One of the last members chosen by Marcinko...i.e. Red Cell, and Mark, Paramedic and Reserve Deputy...combat medic trained.

A well rounded group.

I started this training group based on what I've seen around the Northwest, that is...not finding a training facility that is affordable to a wide range of people.

Most schools offer a 2 day class that is in the 400.00 range, with quite a few asking more than that.

We are at 250.00 for a two day class, and offer all skill levels. We already put on 2 day rifle class for a few members on here, I'll let them give their own opinion.

The website is in the works and should be up by the first of the month. Once I get my vendor status here, I'll be making regular posts about up coming classes.

I took class from Steve and Co, worth every penny and will be back again. For the money you wont find another group of instructors with the real world experience these guys have. The economical price tag doesn't reflect the quality of training you will get. A+ group of solid guys.

Thats really cool news! I can't wait to see the website. I'd definitely like to get myself (and maybe my wife) some training.

BTW, 1 big class idea for something that is entirely missing here (that I know you'd be great at!), is a 1911 builders class. It seems that any gunsmith that offers these is super far away, and fills up immediately.

I don't see myself putting on a 1911 builders class, but we will be putting on a 1911 operator class. That includes basic and some advanced armor touches that some production 1911's seem to need these days, and of course efficient ways of running the platform.

Thats too bad, I was really impressed with the work you did for me quite a few years back! A 1911 operator class sounds like fun though.

I owe my 1911 training for the most part, to one person...Richard Neimer.
He started with Detonics back in the 80's in Seattle, and later designed the Detonics Janus Scoremaster. He passed a few years ago. I was blessed when granted the opportunity to obtain all his personal tools and misc. parts.
He put on an outstanding 1911 armorer and operation class in 2011, in celebration of the inception of the 1911 pistol. Among the items I have obtained is the class curriculum and other materials. I've been given the green light from family and close friends to use the material and teach the same class, so it will be part of the many classes offered.

Its been awhile since I posted about getting this shooting school up and running.

The web site is running behind because of class planning and receiving inquiries and paid reservations...then there's family to attend to.

Hope to have something up soon, since shooting weather will upon us soonly enough!

Here's a list of classes will be offering for now, as there's just three of us instructing. It appears I will be needing more instructors in the near future, as this endeavor appears to be exploding way more than we all expected;

Out of the Box -
This is a class for the new gun owner. Those wanting to know firearm safety, how to shoot along with what all those buttons, switches and gizmos are for.
This course teaches the basics of gun safety, marksmanship skills, and how to run your firearm in a safe and efficient manner in an easy to understand format. We also will cover firearms nomenclature, operation, ammunition, as well as take down for care and maintenance.

Foundation-
Now you've got your firearm "Out of the box", this class will help you take the much needed next step.
This one-day Handgun or Rifle Foundation class will review firearm safety, fundamentals of marksmanship, and working with multiple platforms. We will work on loading and unloading, presentation to the target from the holster if handgun or sling with the rifle, ready positions, clearing malfunctions, and the best way to run the gun with your gear. This class is a great way to get ready for Run the Gun Handgun or Run the Rifle class.

Run the Gun - Rifle / Pistol -
Fundamentals of basics wins gunfights. This class is made to instill the fundamentals of efficiency into your firearm. We work on your platform, manipulations and drills that are proven to be useful well past the range. You will understand how the brain works in taking in the information and properly absorb it so that proper, productive execution of the training is maintained. You will not find industry standard content, that so often does not relate to the street. You will find even paced training that builds upon the fundamental basics of gunfighting, in a safe productive environment that yields results that you can build upon for your future training.

More to come soon...lots of prep work to do. Hope to meet some of you this year!
