My experience with a simular hangup was a cocked bullet that forced the case out of round before it seated. It chamberd somewhat and then really got tight. I had to man-up to get it out of there. Banging on explosives just some how feels wrong/bad.

Funny thing, I used to work on rocket motors and never gave lighting one up a thought.

I have case gages for all the pistol sizes I reload. Will find a fat case or a bad crimp right away.
