Hey all,

I'm trying to decide on a rifle and I'm split on whether or not I'm okay with carbon fiber furniture.

It's light, and looks amazing at the range, but I'm looking to use this in the field. I am not unnecessarily rough on my guns, but just about everything I own has scratches and nicks from walking through brush and crawling across rocks.

I've seen carbon fiber have delamination issues when point punctured and gouged (on cars and aircraft). More so than fiberglass stocks. Or is it a non issue, and the long term wear is no better or worse than other material when banged about in the field.

I'm hoping anyone who owns a rifle with a carbon barrel or furniture will weigh in and let me know how it's holding up to field use? Especially if you've had a slip or two on the rocks.

Thanks!
