Just saw in the news California is on a 'heightened alert' for a major earthquake after 140 quakes have been detected under the Salton Sea. I always thought that place was evil so I may have been right!

Non-self sufficient window lickers suddenly have no supplies? I give them 30 minutes before they are in a perpetual state of riot if something tops a 7 in LA.

Do you think if anything were to happen down in CA, would spread up here to affect us PNW'ers?

Massive earthquake in California could be worryingly imminent

No disrespect to the Salton Sea (you know it actually could have been the 'Vegas' Las Vegas turned into), but there's not much a 7pt quake could do to that town that already hasn't happened. The Salton Sea is were all hope goes to die.

The picture in the link is misleading. Go figure. The Salton Sea is a sparsely populated area in the desert south of Palm Springs. If people did try a mass exodus north they'd be stopped flat by the charms of Bakersfield. I think people forget how big the state of California is.
