If no response from seller, then lawsuit.
Yeah i just got a response from ablesammo, they are willing to take the ammo back, they said that they never heard of a recall, and that mine only is for ammo made in 2012 and only certain lot numbers, i said well then why do the numbers on the boxes match the cip number on the Pinocchio website...crickets..im just going to mail all this crap back to them, i guess ill have to pay for shipping and im sure those knuckleheads will charge me some sort of bullsh**t restocking fee, what a bunch of losers.

It's posts like this that keep me from buying "budget" ammo, I even avoid WWB . Won't buy steel cased at all, my goto for pistol ammo is usually either Blazer Brass or Speer Lawman, depending on which is cheaper in bulk at the time, I've trusted CCI/Speer for decades. In .223/5.56, I've had good luck with MEN and MagTech for range/class ammo, IMI is good for commercial target ammo, for anything else, I reload. All that said, I guess even then I've been lucky, in 1000's of rounds fired, I've never had an ammo related issue in commercial ammo, and only a couple of issues with my reloads, none of those being life or gun threatening. Gotta say, though, if those were double bullet loads, I'd think you'd have noticed the weight difference, I sure notice the difference when I pick up a .45 ACP vs. a 9mm. Just glad no one got hurt, nothing got damaged, and the company is taking care of it. Later.

Yup for sure im so done with cheap ammo even for plinking, i dont mind spending a bit more if that means my rifle of pistol wont blow up lololol. Ihad some issue 2 years ago with some 9mm from a company called SAA, the first case of 1000 was ok, real dirty the second case, just so many FTF my striker would hit the primer and nothing, tried the ammo in 4 diff pistols, same thing, im still waiting to hear back from them, lololol. They tried the old well under federal law we cant take back ammo...because, of course that is all pure bs,So im stilling on about a case and a half of the stuff, they sold it as something like IDF factory made extra runoff, turns out it was made in turkey under a whole diff company and just repackaged, the swine, lololol, live and learn.I thought 0bama said there was hope and change, ok enough of a rant time to get going...

Glad nobody got maimed.

I've purchased Winchester ammo more than a few times over several decades. Twice, I had a run of misfires, drifting primers, squibs, duds and semi-duds. Since all ammo sales are final at any store, I went directly to Winchester. In both cases, Winchester sent me pre-paid shipping labels to return the ammo and refunded my money, without a receipt. I suppose they did that because, even if 6 bricks of .22lr (or .38spl) were purchased 5 years ago, it still says "Winchester" on the box, if not on every round. Last time I checked, they can't risk bad ammo floating around out there, destroying their reputation when guns blow up - or worse.

Ruger and S&W both responded similarly (with quick free repairs, and one replaced pistol) when I had QA issues with their firearms. Presumably for the exact same reasons.

Back to substandard ammo. I don't know how Fiocchi might handle the same problem, but it's certainly worth going straight to the manufacturer (persistently) and finding the right person/department to address this. Best of luck.
Yeah the person at fiocchi, said that this is not how it should have been handled on ablesammo part, and that they will rectify the problem with a full refund or setting me up with new .243 or 9mm or .300 win mag or 30-06. good customer service on there end for sure.

You got it. Retailers cannot afford to be held responsible for reportedly bad batches of ammo that they don't test.

I bought some of the PerFecta from a member here and called/emailed Fiocchi of America and this was their 2 responses. Not sure if the OP ammo was different:
Hi Craig-

Thanks for your inquiry.

There is a lot of confusion on the web. Basically lots of folks commenting on something they read on the web and then report as true somewhere else when it's not.

Anyway, Perfecta has no relation to Fiocchi of America.

The 243 recall in 2012 involved only Fiocchi of America produced loads. I have attached the recall notice we published in 2012 to help clarify. It includes the Fiocchi of America lot numbers which are a different lot number system than the Perfecta lot numbers. They may share a few common numbers, but we use a different system than ammo loaded in Italy by our sister company.

Perfecta was not loaded, imported, or distributed by Fiocchi of America, regardless of whatever you read on the web. Fiocchi of America does not offer customer support for it.

Perfecta was loaded by our sister company in Italy and imported and distributed via TulAmmoUSA in the USA. If you have any questions or concerns about your Perfecta purchase, please contact TulAmmoUSA. You should see their website address on the box.

Hope this clears it up for you.

I spend a lot of time correcting this incorrect info on the web….

Please feel free to pass this recall notice on as needed to help others clarify.

Fiocchi of America

Manager, Customer Service

This is the second response after I asked if it was OK to post:

In 2012, there was no Perfecta ammo so there is no clarification in the 2012 version of the recall notice.

I have amended this one to clarify the Perfecta/Fiocchi of America confusion that persists on the web.

Thank you for your assistance,

Troy

I was going to give it all a quick weigh in and then go for it.:)

Hey guys just a follow up, I got the same email from FiocchiUSA as the above poster, So it seems that im %ucked and also go ***uckyourself lololol. Nobody wants to own up to this crap, ables said that they would only take back if it was unopened ???????, what a bunch of losers. So TULAAMMOUSA has gone dark no facebook/twitter webpage is gone...so ill just eat the 220$$ and never ever again buy ammo thats not made here in USA, The ATF is very interested in this as they said they have had dozs of complaints on it, and yets its still being sold. I have found out why it wont fit into my rifle, of the 400 rounds i bought 93 of them seem to have a burr? or something on the bottom of the shell casing. 35 of them seem to be a bit wider on the circumference when i tried to check them with a micrometer. So live and learn, and i guess i will now fully get into reloading I wanted to so this is just the thing i need to get going on setting up my reloading room...happy shooting guys...Robert
