Is the thread pitch on the C15 pistol buffer tube the same as any standard AR? and can the buffer/bolt system on the C15 be made to work in a full length buffer tube?
I am not aware of any lowers with different size threading. The only difference between a carbine and rifle tube are the length. The spring and buffer are different length to match.
The only one I am aware of is the Olympic Arms pistols (and similar) that have no buffer tube hole drilled as they do need a rear spring/buffer.
Wrong section anyway. Bushmaster carbon 15 pistol is not an NFA weapon.
I used to be into these things when they were known as the Professional Ordnance Carbon 15 rifle/pistol.
The buffer, buffer tube, spring, and bolt carrier are unique to the Carbon 15 system. They are not interchangeable with AR15 parts. Bushmaster was handling parts and service for Profesional Ordnance rifles for a while, but I think they discontinued that whole line now.
Well the only reason that I was posting my question on here is because IF you put the stock and buffer tube on the carbon 15 it then becomes a SBR,then it is a NFA weapon so thats why
