Building my PSA 1911s

So back a couple of years ago, PSA had their 1911 frames and slides for sale. I was lucky enough to get 2 SS slides and 1 SS frame and 1 carbon steel frame.

Does anyone know if I need to coat any of this before I build them?

I think you build them then coat them. For coating you might call bust beaver in wilsonville. They can tell you when to do it and what to it with.

The carbon frame will need to be finished. Last few that we finished we blued most of them and cerakote one of them. We build ours first then finish them
