This is one of the first GSR's to hit the market in 2004 when Matt McClearn took some of the best available parts on the market to make them. It went back to Sig after I got it when Eric VonBosse managed the Sig Custom Shop to be worked on by them for some problems. The following year it went to Bruce in Sacramento after his first civilian class which I was lucky to be in attendance of in August of 2005. It went back to him a few times when I'd have the resources to have him do additional work on it and finally completed in 2011 representing 5 years worth of work. In 2012 Hilton Yam adjusted the trigger on it from hitting the half cock notch during a 1911 class. That was the last time I shot it. Bruce called it 'a laser' and it has a total of 2288 rounds through it.

I intended on shooting Single Stack and SSP with it but have moved on from that long ago to other things. Here's a list of some of what's been done.

-Fixed it so it actually runs reliably
-Beavertail replaced with Wilson's unit
-Hardtail conversion done
-Pins/holes straightened
-10-8 angled mag catch fit
-Magwell hand beveled/softened
-VZ Alien grips added
-Trigger replaced with 10-8 flat faced trigger
-Trigger work
-Slide stop cut flush with frame, frame chamfered
-Ball cuts to front of slide
-Cut light rail flush to match ball cuts
-Barrel bushing replaced to tighten it up (original EGW still included)
-Front and rear sight replaced with 10-8 sights. Rear squared and opened up to .140, front sight narrowed to .110
-GGI extractor replaced factory Wilson extractor (still included)
-Barrel link replaced
-Guide rod rear beveled
-Thoroughly dehorned
-Bruce's magic on the frame to slide fit and all the internals. Feels like it's gliding on butter rails and the softest shooting 1911's I've ever felt.
-It was Stainless and was completely Superblacked

Will include 3 Checkmate 8rd Stainless hybrid mags with removable baseplates (the Novak's they came with were crappy), case and 2 magazines from 2004 with the first 2 articles published on them; one by Bruce and the other by Massad Ayoob.

WOW, that's probably one of the nicest pistols I've ever seen. Would you be interested in a trade? I don't use my left testi much and it's got plenty of life in it, if you throw in a couple boxes of Ammo I'd add the right one too! They're a matched set, PM me if you'd like me to send some pictures lol. All kidding aside that's a beautiful gun.
