Just got an email from Tillamook State Forest.....

"Just in time for the holiday weekend, the Beaver Dam Rock Pit (aka "The Browns Camp Pit") is back OPEN for public use.


Please take a minute to review the target shooting regulations before you head out to the woods and please remember to clean-up your shells and targets before you leave.

Maps of additional west side shooting sites are available in the Den area (for members with bronze and above). You can get Bronze status by collecting garbage after shooting (details in the top of this forum) and the the pit is an area that tends to see a lot of garbage.

They are seriously with the regs there. Especially what you bring to shoot at. Sheriff is usually there to help people. And run their ID if the see something unsafe or in violation of posted rules.
That said, I've also seen people being really stupid there. Like pointing guns at each other. bubbleguming around.
