Browning Hi-Power Safari Made in Finland by Sako in very rare 222 Remington. These are usually chambered in 222 Magnum. Beautiful gun that is a tack driver. The downside is that this is a salt wood gun, but has been treated professionally by a gunsmith. Does not affect the rifle other than cosmetically along the stock line in a few spots. Because of the salt wood price is $800 which is about half of a non salt wood gun. Fees on me in Albany.

Browning Salt Wood Explained

During th mid-60's Browning and other guns companies used a Morton salt wood curing method to cure their stocks. During the process many of the stocks got soaked in a salt brine which led to the salt getting into the wood. Later the salt would leach out coming into contact with the metal causing a severe rusting problem
