One of my ancestors, John Robbins was one who died on Lexington Green after firing his musket at the redcoats. Another relation, Captain Robbins led the 2nd charge at Concord that broke the redcoat ranks and sent them in full retreat under fire.. the officer in charge of the redcoats, Major Pitcairn, said:

They fired at us from behind every rock, tree and building. Even the wymen had firelocks

We honor you ancestors.
We pray we never let them down.

I pray I never let them down.. did you know a 78 year old widower took on the retreating redcoats with his musket and two pistols, was found the next day still alive in the field by a doctor, 14 musket ball hits, and he survived? He remarried a woman in her 30s and had more children and lived to his 90s.. never give up or give in!
