What you just said is patently false. No major corporation is only going to release a small batch of product before the holidays. They will release and sell literally as many as the market can sustain. I am absolutely sure the execs and board members of Sony and Microsoft could and did project the demand for their product.

I work for a that supplies much of the silicon that Microsoft uses, and we, along with everyone else in the industry never stopped production or had supply chain issues. There will absolutely be more. As someone involved in manufacturing silicon products I can say that with 100000% certainty

Yeah because the company you work for is the same as the ones that Microsoft use. They outsource from a lot of overseas manufacturers primarily from countries that reside in the continent of Asia which got slammed by Covid.
