I vaguely recall my father doing some shoots back in the 80s. I also read a couple books on the topic last year (Hit the White Part and Pin Shooting: A Complete Guide). It does look like a lot of fun. I too am not sure why it became less common.

Less people bowl so I'd guess there is a shortage of used pins for cheap.

I'm not against it. I would love to give it a go if it was available within a reasonable distance from my house.


I grew up shooting 'stuff' not paper so I very much prefer to shoot things when possible.

We had a great shoot today. If i would have gotten more notice, i would have invited some of you. The club i belong to is Cascade Sportsman's Club. We shoot near Stevenson Washington. A few members here belong to that club and they are exceptional shots. Good people and good fun..
