Bottom right, thanks @bionic knees !!! @CKStephens, headstamps may differ but crimping style only has so many types.
Heavier brass/slightly less case capacity?2017 Lake City 5.56 NATO with approved crimp (4). Adjust powder charge accordingly if you use them.
I don't see any over-pressure marks (signs) on the OP's case. There's definitely marks on the cases from pressure on the bolt, im not sure that it matters, i have reloaded lots that looked like this, and have never had a case fail, not sure if its dangerous, just my experience with it.
Matt
yep, primer crimp...I'm speaking of the four impressions around the primer.
I started using the Frankfort Arsenal hand depriming tool. That thing is a beast, removes crimped primers with ease. The only crimped primers I have seen were ring crimps, and I found them too much of a PITA to deal with... tired of breaking decap pins.
That thing is awesome, I use it to deprime almost all my brass and just powers through anything.I started using the Frankfort Arsenal hand depriming tool. That thing is a beast, removes crimped primers with ease.
Thx for the info... unfortunately for me, bad arthur would keep me from using that... i hand prime, but doing so doesn't require much effort.I started using the Frankfort Arsenal hand depriming tool. That thing is a beast, removes crimped primers with ease.
