Easter is coming up and that means baskets of sweets for the kiddos. Why should they have all the calories? Why can’t we have some? I can only take so many jellybeans and hollow chocolate rabbits so I’m posting what I consider my sweet treat with a twist for all you egg hiders out there. Maple Bacon Before I start a word of caution…only use real maple sugar for this recipe 1 lb. sliced bacon 1 cup brown sugar Maple sugar Pre heat oven to 350 Pat brown sugar on both sides of each slice. Place bacon on a foil covered cookie sheet or baking dish. Sprinkle liberally with maple sugar. Bake for 20 minutes or until bacon is browned. Turn once during baking. Drain on paper towels. Bet ya can't eat just one!
