In my opinion…consistency is the key! No matter what you carry big or small when you leave your dwelling that you have something that you are familiar with and fits your needs and gets the job done when needed! I carry a Judge, I like the versatility of the many choices I can load for the result I am looking for.Give me your best experience of a carry pistol. NOT your favorite pistol but the best pistol that you have carried when it comes to what everyone is looking for in the following metrics:
shootablity
accuracy
reliability
comfort
concealability
holsters
grip/ergonomics
Let me know what you have experienced and maybe even some to stay away from!
For all your metrics except concealability my vote would be for grand power Q1. It's Glock 19 size so that's why it scores lower on concealability. Rotating barrel system. Outshoots most anything I own. They do make 2 smaller versions of the same but I've never shot those and I think they are still double stack so same thickness.Give me your best experience of a carry pistol. Ditto this. For concealiability and still 9mm nothing beats it imo. Some prefer the p365 as it's similar size and also easy to shoot well for a very small 9mm. I have both and carry both at various times. The best carry pistol for me is not my favorite but it checks off everything on your list but with the highest rating of concealability, it literally goes almost anywhere concealed, is a respectable 9mm, accurate and reliable thus its gone the most places. The Sig P938. My guess is most people will disagree but everyone has different needs of concealability.
The p365 is a solid contender. They didnt have that when I got into the p938... but I still think the 938 is better for concealability. Its about 10% smaller and lighter... which may not sound like much but thats a huge difference on smaller things. The 938 to me, just barely works for pocket carry, I would not want anything even an ouce heavier in the pocket.Ditto this. For concealiability and still 9mm nothing beats it imo. I agree, the 938 fits in a pocket better and doesn't print. I also bought the 939 long before the 365 and I probably wouldn't have bought a 365 but I shot one and they handle wonderfully! I find the 365 is much easier to change magazines for my large hands versus the 938. They're both great choices! The p365 is a solid contender. In my opinion, take a basic handgun class at the local gun range and you can try some possibly both semi-autos and revolvers.Give me your best experience of a carry pistol.
