Have you handled one? I wanted one also until I had one in my hand. A very awkward pistol, especialy without the mag extension.

+1 on shooting one before buying one.
I wanted one of these for many years, but after finally getting one, I just didn't like the way it felt. I went through 2 full size Cougars and a mini-cougar, ended up going with the new production Stoeger Cougar out of all the choices (at one time I owned 4 or 5 while I tried to pin down which one was the best). Even that one went away when I saw something I liked better (Beretta 96).
