Threaded barrels are legal to purchase. Please don't over state the letter of the law. There's already lots of confusion about it.

Installing one, on the other hand, could be illegal - unless the gun already had one to begin with…

Installing one IS illegal if a pistol did not previously have one. There is no "could be" about it.

I appreciate you trying to warn me, but I dont care about arbitrary, and unenforced laws. Im just replacing the old one I already have
