I was at the range when a fellow shooter brought out his MP40 replica. He had retrofitted it with a folding shoulder brace.
Not sure whether it was GSG, but it was accurate, a hoot to shoot, and TOTALLY BADASS.

I bought one of those on a whim, cause yeah it looks cool and a fraction of what a real one goes for nowadays. Super fun to have, and i think i paid under $500 bucks for it at the time!

Cold war era battle rifles and clones: FAL, PTR-91 GI, and M1A standard.

They're outclassed by modern AR10/LR308s in every respect except the cool factor.

I picked up a GSG-16 cause it looked cool. Never thought I would own an mp5. Plus I wanted a cool looking plinker and being .22LR I could shoot it all day with out a dent in the walllet. My Ruger 10/22 is fun but not much a cool factor to it.

My area of interest is old 1800's rifles, so almost every one I buy is because I think they look cool. Certain ones just scream buy me, and it only takes a quick inspection before I know what's coming home with me! Only real show stopper is when someone has a crazy price that I know wont result in them accepting a reasonable offer. But if the price is right, and I've got the funds it's a done deal.

M1A in a sage chassis. Had it built to run a suppressor and it was about four times the cost of an AR10, and three times the weight on top of blowing gas into my face with every round fired. Cool factor was x100 so no regrets
