Last pistol I bought because I thought it "looked cool." Shoots damn great, too.

Probably the last revolver I bought because I thought it "looked cool." Another awesome shooter with an amazing trigger.

A S&W 469 way back in the mid-80s. It lasted until a SS Colt Officer's model kicked it outta bed.

The Colt was a lock once high cut and front and a replacement rear strap were checkered @ 20 lpi. Some Novak sights were also added.

LOL. I was in a pawn shop, and they had an 8" Colt Python on consignment. The guy behind the counter noted my interest and asked me what the heck I would do with it if I bought it. I told him I could be like Hawk on Spenser for Hire. He laughed and shook his head, killing the buzz on my potential purchase.

I settled for a 6" Python years later (about a month ago).
Years ago when I lived in Toutle my buddy Bob and I were cruising some logging roads when we saw a young guy hitch hiking back to town. Bob stopped and picked him up and after a few minutes he said that we were pretty brave picking up a stranger and what would we do if he tried to rob us. Bob quietly pulls out his S&W mod 29 in 44 mag with a 8" barrel and slides it across my belly sticking it in the guys ribs and says, I'd just blow you through that bubbleguming door. The ride was real quite after that...... Don't mess with loggers.

Guilty of far more than I can probably list! I love old west guns so had to have a colt peacemaker, a Henry rifle, model 92 and 94's, an 97 and a couple 74 sharps. A walther ppk followed me home once as well as Lugers, p38's, radom vis, hi power, 1910 browning, 1908 savage, Winchester pump 22's, you name it! I've got a sig p210 that's not practical but boy it's a beautiful pistol and extremely accurate. The best part is most of them have been reasonably accurate and reliable (other than that Henry) and extremely fun to own and share with others.

I bought a chrome plated Davis derringer in 38 Special. Looked cool. Couldn't hit a 55-gal barrel at 10 feet.
Hurts your hand when shooting it. If.. if you can pull the 25-pound trigger!

Geeze-Louise, most of our firearms are because of their "looks". Early on in my/our gun owning adventure 2009-10 reading gun mags and people sharing info at the range is what brought us to a number of the guns we own. That, and just perusing gun counters at different stores.

From a gun rag...

That's been a hell-u-v-a- great fun gun to shoot. I don't do competition, I got it because it looked cool. I should have got it in a little more powerful cartridge than 9mm though. If I'm on my game it will hit 10' steel at 90 yards.

Hey all! I was curious what have you guys have bought just because you think it looks cool? Not because you needed a good reliable carry gun, or some other purpose driven purchase. But simply because you seen one and had to have it, wether it's a movie/tv gun, video game gun or just walked into a gun store and couldn't help yourself… some people might think the whole idea is silly but not me! My last one was a used gsg 9mm mp40 pistol…. Honestly I thought it looked awesome, I'll never own a transferable one and it doesn't do anything a Glock 17 can't. It in fact does things much worse but it looks so darn neat!
Walther 22lr PPK. Classic, cool styled gun from our favorite spy. Different caliber/model, but man it just looks good in the collection. Shoots well but , very, very limited capability.

I have a long list of guns I'd like to buy because they might be fun/cool (KSG 410, bullpup 12 ga, AK shotgun, etc...)
But then my gun safe mocks me with "How many of my residents have not been outside for years?"
And I don't buy more toys.... But I still window shop 😎
