That's only because it IS cool.I think it is cool.
Pretty much every gun I've ever purchased. That or it was a really great deal!Hey all! I was curious what have you guys have bought just because you think it looks cool? Not because you needed a good reliable carry gun, or some other purpose driven purchase. But simply because you seen one and had to have it, wether it's a movie/tv gun, video game gun or just walked into a gun store and couldn't help yourself… some people might think the whole idea is silly but not me! My last one was a used gsg 9mm mp40 pistol…. Honestly I thought it looked awesome, I'll never own a transferable one and it doesn't do anything a Glock 17 can't. It in fact does things much worse but it looks so darn neat!
100% agree- you need to get a gold chain now to take it too the next level:For some reason I wanted one. Always had a soft spot for folding stocks, stainless and wood. Probably since I was an impressionable kid and watched the A-Team.
Saw this and had to get it… it's my "B-Team". Not much good over 50 yards, but looks cool though.

I know you didn't ask me, but I really like them. I only have a little time on one currently but I think they sound great. If I buy another .22 can it will be a hux!How do you like that HUXWRX suppressor? I'm thinking bout gettin one.
I have Huxwrx flow 22, rad 9, and 7.62 ventum. I researched many suppressors and the flow 7.62, flow 5.56 is #1 recommended in the HK world. How do you like that HUXWRX suppressor? I'm thinking bout gettin one.
To me, form follows function. I buy nothing because of looks, but only of function, usefulness, etc.
Oh... There are exceptions. I could very much buy a rifle or shotgun because of the beautiful bluing and walnut.
55 years ago, I was quite lucky and never had to make such a choice. Today, I can't even ponder the question.Did you apply that to your women, too?
That i don't know, how would I find out?Very nice. So...pre-1950, then?
I totally get that!55 years ago, I was quite lucky and never had to make such a choice. Today, I can't even ponder the question.

They have stopped making this version and are retooling for a modified version that will look the same, but will have changes made. I don't know what will change yet, but if you want an original, buy now. Prices are dropping as all of the originals are on the shelf. That's only because it IS cool.
I haven't seen one with that grip before. Very nice. I see they have quit making the PPK/s, so it makes me want to pick one up.
Thanks for the info. I agree about the flow through cans. My HUXWRX Flow 9Ti is FAR superior to my Obsidian 45. I will never buy another non flow through can! And as per your advice I have a Ventum 7.62 on order right now.I have Huxwrx flow 22, rad 9, and 7.62 ventum. I researched many suppressors and the flow 7.62, flow 5.56 is #1 recommended in the HK world.
My suggestion is if you can swing it get a PTR vent (if they make one for the caliber you are interested in). Vent is in a completely different league than any other suppressor imo. It's 3d printed foam and works differently than others. They don't make 22lr ones though.
Vent 2 (9mm) is literally the same sound level as 22 LR subsonics out of a rifle with a supressor. Vent2 9mm is 124.9 db. Obsidian 9 long configuration 9mm is 134.7. So obsidian 9 is almost exactly twice as loud as vent 2. 22lr rifle suppressed subsonic is 124.2. It is worth the extra $ imo to get PTR vent. To put it in perspective, if a person was standing 12 feet to the side of the shooter, they would hear the equivalent to opening a can of beer or a regular hand clap. That's pretty crazy for 9mm.
Back to Huxwrx,
7.62 ventum reduces recoil tremendously on 8.5" and 12.5" .308 roller locked guns. Steel tube outside and 3d printed, removable, inner core. Back pressure is close to zero, if not zero. Ventum would be considered one generation older than the flow 7.62/5.56 cans. The benefits of the ventum vs flow is cost, removable core for cleaning or replacement if a strike. But biggest benefit is cost. $669 vs $1300 for flow 7.62. The cons are it's heavier. Love the ventum.
I would suggest getting 7.62 can for use in both 5.56 and 7.62. The reason being shooting 5.56 out of a ventum 7.62 is just slightly quieter than shooting 5.56 out of a ventum 7.62. So you can cover 2 calibers with own can (ignore this if you are getting dedicated 5.56 and a dedicated 7.62 can anyway).
Rad 9 is older version of flow 9 ti and uses ti flow baffles and tube rather than 3d printed. It can be configured as a k can or full size just like obsidian 9. Sound wise it would be comparable to obsidian 9. So think of it as an obsidian 9 but with flow through can benefits.
Flow 22 is great, light and no first round pop. Sound level of any normal size 22 can will be about the same as flow 22 though. So for 22 I would buy the cheapest aluminum baffle can I could buy. Unless you want zero first round pop. Then I would get dead air mask or flow 22. Flow 22 price would probably be worth it after $200 stamp is gone. The gun doesn't even know it's there. I did some testing on a tx-22 with frt back when they were legal in OR and flow .22 bolt speed was slower and less violent than standard baffle can. Standard baffle can was noticeably more harsh and higher bolt speed (rate of fire in this case).
For me I will only buy flow through cans. Only exception would be for .22 where back pressure is not enough to impact bolt speed or reliability and gas to the face is not enough to worry about. It likely would impact gun cleanliness I would think but I have never really tracked that other than crap due to ammo brand.
Ptr vent 2 (9mm) out of a 6.8" barrel subgun at 75 yards in front of shooter.
None of that is stuff I'm into, and now, having see it, I want all of it.Yes I have...and will continue to do so.
Luckily for me....many that look cool...also have a purpose...or history....or both.
