Up there in Salem, our old yard guy runs all battery stuff now, he installed a Honda Quiet Power generator on his truck and is able to charge every battery he has in about an hour or so, he has enough batteries to work while he is charging the others, so he isn't suffering down time awaiting a charge. He says the initial cost was staggering, but in what he saves in fuel plus the low noise levels makes it a whole lot easier to deal with. Instead of burning through 20+ gallons of gas per day, he only uses about 2 to 3!

A few years ago my $159 Wards mower from 1993 finally quit. I bought a 5hp YardMan self propelled. Never ran well, and Would Not bag the grass at all! Neighbor had an electric, kinda nice the quietness. Civilised... Lowes had a Greenworks Pro 60v 22" self propelled bagger on Clearance - smokin deal so I decided to try it. Awesome mower! Cuts taller and wetter grass better than my gas mowers did, bagger simply works perfectly, no special cuss words required to remove and reinstall the bag... Mows my 1/4 acre on half a batt charge normally, more if I've let the grass get too high or its wet. 60v 5ah batt.
5years now with no worries. Highly recommend.
One caveat- the blade doesnt "lift" the grass like gas mower blades do, a minor annoyance. No electric mowers seem to. I guess that would use more juice. BUT the bagger bags beautifully.
I bought the 60v blower and trimmer 3 years ago when I found a sale, they have some nice thoughtful features and also just work perfectly.

Tips:
Voltage is king. IMO 60V these days is a minimum.
Get a second batt and don't run them till they cut off - they'll last longer. I bought one off eBay, it works as good as the factory one for half the cost. Seller was Battery shop UK, battery brand was Dsanke (china)
The blower and trimmer are very heavy. But the convenience is worth it.

Talking about mowers not bagging well. If they're set up primarily to be a mulching mower they're not going to vacuum well or bag all that great. Add dampness, morning dew, and they don't work well. Look at the blade, if it doesn't have a swept up wing on it behind the cutting edge, it a mulching blade. There's a difference in the shape of the under-deck between the two also.

I had to swap my electric mowers blade for that very reason, and while it uses a bespoke blade, I was able to adapt a really good aftermarket blade that is specifically for bagging, and it was night and day!
Before, it would clump up at the discharge chute for the bag, and it would leave grass cuttings all over the lawn, now it bags it all with out issue, and have tons of lift, enough that I don't need to use the blower afterwards.
