So I'm trying to finish my AR build and I got a regular barrel nut tried to put it on but it won't fit over the bull barrel. Is there different size barrel nuts?
Or is it just that i have to file down the nut to fit over the larger barrel?

It's a Stag 24" bull barrel.
One heck of a beatin stick.

For a $10 barrel nut i'll try sanding it down. I have a dremel i'm pretty comfortable with. If it comes out bad i'll just buy another one. Just don't want to scratch up the barrel sliding it on, but i was thinking about just putting masking tape over it to slide it one, adds more thickness but i think it will work.

Thanks everyone!

Well once i reamed it out a little worked great. Used my dremel and a course and fine sanding wheels and it polished up really nice.
Got it all together now I can't wait to shoot it!
Here's a bad pic but gives you an idea
