It's so lovely to see a new form of shenanigans have started up. There were incendiary devices put into ballot boxes in SE Portland and Vancouver. Evidently hundreds of ballots were destroyed in the one in Vancouver.

Morons! We filled out our menus last afternoon. What a mess this city and state has become. Just trying to read about the 19-20 something people running for a position is like listening to ol' sleepy creepy joe and Kameltoe talking incessantly. They all say the samething! I've been here in potland long enough to know nothing will change here.

I took my ballot directly to the election office. Got an email about a day later saying it was received and my vote recorded. Why anyone would drop one in a ballot box is beyond me.

The thoughts behind it are probably the libs outnumber the conservatives by a significant margin so a few of theirs burned are worth the conservative votes being lost.

I don't know why anyone would mail it? Though now, I've got to say, with the government supported dirt-bag, scum dogs in potland burning drop sites I will have to take a chance on the dims at the election office.
We have been dropping ours off at a local library where the INSIDE book return slot is the ballot deposit.

I think there is a low percentage chance that someone who would burn a ballot box has ever been to a library and would not be able to fine one.

Notice how it was easy for them to find a courthouse during the summer of love though.

Looking forward to the authorities catching some of these individuals starting these fires. We will all know more about the side of the isle they come from.

Interesting - according to the noon news, the Oregon box had some kind of fire retardant system inside and only three ballots were damaged, but are still readable, so elections officials can contact those folks for a re-submission.

There is video of a vehicle in the vicinity and the FBI has been called in.

I hope whoever did these fires has a real FAFO experience.

After more consideration beyond my knee-jerk thought process, I'm wondering if this could be the work of a nefarious state actor just to sow more division and doubt into the our election integrity? Curious what others think as I try to get beyond partisan politics and look at the bigger picture of these actions.

Does OR give you a postage paid envelope to mail in? I was voting by mail here in WA LONG before we were pushed into doing it that way. For me it was just easy. You did have to provide your own stamp. They a while back even did away with that but we have those stupid boxes all over too. Since the envelope here is just set up to let you drop it in any USPS mail box I never could see the point in those boxes here.

Now if they do find out who did this I would be VERY interested is seeing who it was. My "best bet"? It will be some kook who they will not want to make known as they will be a supporter of the wrong side to make it public. If it is some "very right" voters they may well really come down on them hard. If so they do deserve every bit of pain they feel.
