I would follow the same advice, get high cap mags, then a few Legit ones to play with. For arms them selves, just get the ones you have been wanting! Don't do stupid and hoard in hopes of profiting from the price gouging others tried. I would continue buying any ammo you want/need to keep what you have up and running at the levels you normally run! Hoarding just takes up valuable food storage space! Now, If things go really sideways, and an all out ban happens, I would be looking for odd items that you can use,, but wouldn't normally need ( unless you have pallets of ammo) reloading supplies and such, but also the makings of gun powders and primers. Also look into the long term storage needs! In a SHTF situation, how much ammo do you really need? And how likely is an Alamo situation going to happen? I would shift my focus to those needs once i had my arms to a level I needed with ammo and related parts and gear in place!

We need to ban all guns. If we could just save just one innocent life.
So, how many lives are saved with a legal gun everyday? Do those lives matter?

You don't need a gun that is capable of shooting X bullets in a minute.
The Constitution doesn't limit Freedom of the Press to newspapers. Progress: radio, TV, high speed internet. Ever heard of it?

Weapons of War do not belong on our streets!
Any firearm could be considered a potential, "Weapon of War." But, most Americans that I know, don't go walking about the streets with an AR15. And, an AR15 is not a Weapon of War. A fully automatic M16 is. Anyway, just think of an AR15 as America's modern musket. Remember the paintings of men walking about towns with swords and muskets? Perhaps if, "50 states concealed carry" were the law of the land. Then, would that make you happier?

You don't need an AW for deer hunting.
The 2nd Amendment isn't about deer hunting.

We're for common sense and reasonable gun control laws.
You mean common sense and reasonable gun controls according to Hillary? Or The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence? Or The Brady Bunch, etc...? Or, common sense and reasonableness, as defined by me?

Etc, etc, etc.....
What don't you understand about, shall not be infringed?

Why should I have to give up my FREEDOM, just so that you can feel better?

Very good comment! Read Agenda 21, a novel based on the U.N. plans for world domination. Now of course we have Sustainability plans... sounds better doesn't it? Naw, it's even worse. They have grade school kids spouting this bubblegum.

We used semi autos in the Boy Scouts. We shot semi auto 22s and semi auto shot guns for shooting clays. Probably because it was the mid 80's, nobody gave two turds, and it was what was available.

Excellent point. I thought about getting another one or two, but I already blew my wad $$ this year on all the cheap gun sales.

I do think it's a good time to get one you've always wanted but maybe wasn't a priority for you. For example, if you're an AR guy and you've always wanted an AK, just for *hits and giggles, or vice versa, I'd probably make a move on that in the next year or so.

I find it surprising that Republicans are supporting the ban and restriction on firearms starting in the form of the type of rifle stock. What happened to the party platform of 2nd amendment support anti restrictions stance. I.expect such from the Democratic party but never thought the republicans would roll over or as many on here have stated was a reason for supporting them. Just my thoughts. Obama never implemented federal gun control.though he wanted to. Can we say the same about the Trump administration - time will tell.

When the action of one can effect the rights of miliions one must ask what rights do any of us have. I could care less about bump fire stocks but am greatly concerned in the fact that Republicans and Democrats are working together to restrict our perceived gun rights.

Gun control only effects those who follow the law. Guns don't pull their own trigger, a person pulls it. I think that many people have a hard time blaming the issue on their own species and find it easier to blame the tool. Go back a few hundred years and you would get the "WTF?!?!" look if you mentioned banning a type of gun. As I always say to people who think banning a gun will reduce the crime, there's a reason the black market exists.
