Decent story...but I am stunned they used a photo of some goof pointing a firearm directly at the guy at Gun Broker...

Don't care if it is at a gunshop...don't care if it was safety checked and unloaded....that's just poor firearms handling and more proof there are a lot of idiots, who have never even touched a firearm, making purchases that could have deadly consequences...

I'm just sayin'.....:s0155:

WOW looking at the first chart it shows that US manufacturers made 6,351,479 guns in 2011 Now add to that the 3,200,000 million that the ATF says were imported in 2011. And we are talking about adding well over 9.5 million guns added to the mix in one year. I'm starting to think the estimates of there being 310 million guns in the USA to be a wee bit on the lean side of reality.

The AFT says that in the 20 years from 1999 to 2010 there were an average of 4 million guns made in the USA add to that an est 2 million imports and you get almost 130 million firearms added to the mix since 1999.

And we been making guns since 1776 and we even got a bunch the British made before that LOL.

THATS A LOT OF GUNS.

The Oregonian is not the friend of gun owners. On occasion they can be fair but the great majority of articles are slanted against gun owners. Its a liberal rag and you have to put up with their bias to get the grocery coupons and wrap your fish. They are losing readers by the truckloads but are not smart enough to change their tune much, instead blaming all the electronic media for their loss of readership.
