Magpul has some Midlength handguards and the SW M&P 10 carbine handguards that fits round caps. But the vast majority of clamshell handguards, and drop in quadrails and similar for Midlength, are for triangle caps.
Yea but I've never found a quadrail in stock for Midlength that uses round caps. All the A2 style Midlength handguards are triangle, except for S&W MP-10 handguards (round cap, no heat shields, for .308 carbines with same Midlength gas tube length)Carbines typically use a round cap, rifles use triangle cap, mids use either.
