Anyone wear a monocle?

I wear readers (1.5 power) when I read. Even though they are kinda little, they're kinda big, if you know what I mean. I mean.. my pockets are already full a crap and it's hard to swap out my sunglasses for the readers from my inside breast pocket and vice a versa without them both getting tangled in all the other crap. And then there's the occasional breakage and rarely.. the forgetting.
Been thinking about getting a monocle on a lanyard.. it'd be way smaller, easily retrievable and more durable than glasses.
And Mr. Peanut gets all the wimmens.. wait, maybe it's the spats.
Anyone wear a monocle or have any input?

My dad carried a fold-up magnifying glass for a while. He also carries a small tape measure and who knows what else. I'm getting to where I need something to read fine print too though.
