Well, my SBA3 snapped so I'm looking at an alternative. I'm trying to decide between preordering the fs1913a or just getting a sba4. My concern with the SBA4 is it might be too wide to fold all the way.

Anyone with experience with either one that can share some insight?

Seems everyone is really fussy about what brace they like. I'm not sure why, but whatever. Fwiw I like the sb mini on a folding mil spec buffer tube due to check weld and length of pull. I also like the contour brace for trying to be ultra thin but the rotation thing on it I don't like at all. How do you like the brace in the last two pics?

I was thinking of looking for one but I can only find the polymer strut, and the only aluminum one I can find the guy is asking $400 for it.

Some like to lick the ATF's taint, some don't.

Every had to travel across state lines with a SBR?

F that
I travel for work (production relocation specialist ) and I go out of state on a daily basis. Aside from an AK-105 conversion for my saiga, I don't see a reason to SBR. Hell, yesterday I left the house in NC to go deliver and ended up in PA. Neither I or the ATF wants to deal with that paperwork nightmare.
Just get another SBA3. How did you break it?
Sling caught on it as I lifted it. That side was already on the breaking point, so the sling finished it.

I use the SBA3 SplitFix for my pistol brace. Was that a two point sling or a single point? I use a single point sling on my pistol but if I am carrying in my car then I typically do not have a sling on it. I suppose I could a two point sling if I want if I order a QD sling mount.

$400, yikes! I think I paid $151 or $153 for aluminum strut one from optics planet (rotating one is called sig contour brace). Brownells may have the non-rotating one w/aluminum strut but probably backorder only I would guess.

re sling mounts, I noticed primary arms has them on sale today fot $11

Yes I bought a few Expo Arms ones but I did buy a few Magpul QD sling mount in the beginning since I didn't know that Expo made a less expensive one.

I'm just gonna get a fs1913A. Looked at the sig brace that uses a strut, and felt SB tactical had the better design.

Having a slimmer folding brace will make it easier to take it out of the truck inside a backpack when I get a hotel room anyways so...
