I don't think we use the same definition of 'waste' but yes, in general I do agree that how the government does things needs to be updated and streamlined to be more efficient and provide better services, but at this point the only thing that might change my opinion of Trump & Co's ability to make those changes will be the results, and much like my views on SCOTUS, I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt itReally? The last 6 years actually happened. Trump is doing what he can the right some of the massive waste that has occurred for generations. Not many people are built for that task, so he appointed someone to at least steer/guide a team in direction.
To say we know what the outcome will be at this time after all the garbage we rightly complain about...? Come on. This one of the most difficult task anyone has attempted. I have several family members that work in government. I don't want to see them financially hurt, but there has to be a start.
As for your relatives, this must be an unnecessarily stressful time for them, and my heart goes out to them
