My Grandfather fought the Germans in WWI as an Artillery Sergeant in France. My father fought the Japanese in WWII as a Gunner's Mate/Boarding Party on a Destroyer Escort (USS Emery), then on a Minesweeper (USS Prime) in the South China Sea.

After the Emery had dodged two torpedoes from a submarine, they managed to sink it with depth charges. Some bodies surfaced, and one had this Rising Sun silk flag folded in his tunic. The spots barely visible in the lower right corner are Japanese blood.

They almost killed my father. Their atrocities are easily compared to the Nazi's atrocities.

I cherish this artifact of my father's God-given life, give not a whit how it may affect anyone else's delicate sensibilities and would defend against its destruction just as I would the Stars and Stripes.

Some of us are exempt from being put on ignore or being able to put someone on ignore.

You guys have it good... :s0140:

I consider the Ignore button like a small shovel. it allows me to move the turd out of the pathway so I don't have to keep stepping over it!!

Here is a silver dinner fork brought back by a US vet.Its the formal pattern ,Hitler had sets made for him with his initials ,Hitler himself may have used it or a least his hi official cronies.Silver is high priced, should I melt it down?Dont think I will ,these are 2k if you can find an original.

My dad bought a pair of lederhosen in Germany one year. He loved them. Glad they were too large for me and I was able to "deflect" them towards another family member!

I wandered onto the IMA website today. I try to avoid that but they have so much cool stuff. I sold my "German" window flag years ago with my mint Luger. I used to wrap the gun up in it. I need another of both.
