Judging from an interaction I had with my Sister about a year ago, I think our public schools have been failing on Whale curriculum for quite some time. She asked me if fish sleep. I said they probably didn't in the way we do but the most likely had periods of rest with low energy expenditure. She then said "not even whales?" She is 62
