My bad! I thought you had mastered both.
Tried. Failed. Well, it came out ok.

It can be done at home with a Home Depot bucket and various chemicals. Mostly good sulfuric acid and lye.

Most expensive thing needed would be a battery charger from Harbor freight.

I had lead cable and misc lead already to make the make shift cooking vat.

Not hard, just takes a bit of time to do, which I might have rushed.

He's mastered the art of... disguise.

Hey I'm happy to get all the responses.
I appreciate you guys, great humor too
If you want to give it a go, it's not all that hard. Most home improvement stores have 100% lye products in the form of drain cleaners. Sulfuric acid is not hard to get ahold of, think auto shop. You can use Rit clothing dye or by actually Anodizing dye off Amazon. A car battery charger, something that can charge at low amps. Like 1-2 amps. Misc lead wire and some lead sheeting and you are in business.

I know this is an old thread, but I'l looking to anodize some lowers now too. I've used Anodize Solutions before and they were always awesome, but apparently they were just bought by Leupold and now they are being a bit weird about helping out us little guys... hopefully they will prove me wrong.
