Recently tried out some "Hornady Custom 10mm Auto 180gr XTP". I picked up one box at a local shop and two more I think from Midway...definitely two different lot numbers but...I did not expect this??? I recall reading something somewhere concerning Large/Small pistol primer variations from one manufacturer to another, but hadn't anticipated this much variation. It appears that the older box had the Large size...I think.

It's either large or small. There're no extra medium primers

IIRC, 10mm is one of those some manufacturers use SP while most used LP. LP is typical these days.

SP = Small Pistol
SPM = Small Pistol Mag
LP = Large Pistol
LPM = Large Pistol Mag

With supply chain, workforce and raw materials supply all wankered up, ammo manufacturers probably have to contract with multiple suppliers for brass. So you get what you get.

I am about to bore some of my primer pockets on my 458 socom brass deeper to accept lr primers. Damn cci 350's are proving to be elusive.
