AK noob, looking for suggestions

Pretty content with my collection. I am still thinking of grabbing a 7.62x39 last minute. Did a little research and have shot them in the past, but looking for a little guidance on what's good. What I read was arsenal (probably out of my spending range) zastava, psa gf3 are kind of the ones to go with in their price points. Appreciate the input and thanks for your time.

Wasr are basic but pretty good - better then a lot.

Although honestly at this point, even a good SKS wouldn't be outside of my consideration if I were looking.

I've heard some shops are running dry , I've heard and personally witnessed customers being lightly discouraged from starting the purchase process. Then there's the possibility of waiting all day just to get up to the counter

With the mag situation I'd just get a good SKS.

I ordered a psak gf3 recently from PSA. It looks like I will get in just under the wire. In my estimation, the only way you will make it, is to buy local within the next 3 days or so thanks to the mandatory 10 day waiting period in WA (not counting weekends). Finding a decent ak locally in that timeframe may be quite difficult.

This brings up another good point. Do you already have the AK mags like I do? I stocked up before mag ban passed even though I didn't own an AK yet.

Everyone owns AK mags, they are in a cardboard box in the trunk of your car.

Zastava is good but pricey, in all honesty go with a PSA AK. Their GF3 models are the basic bare bones types but they hold up well.

Right now they (PSA) have priority shipping for Washington residents and you can get a SOLID AK with a fixed stock for $619
