Advice on mobile radio tuner apps

Hey guys, I've always wanted to download an app to stream radio stations to my smartphone. It's an iphone 3G. I'm kinda overwhelmed and the more "research" I do, the more it's like a tarbaby and I'm skeered!
What got me gun shy is I almost pulled the trigger on Pandora I think but then I thought I saw on C-Net that there were monthly fees though the app is free. I understand that concept but there's little info via the phone itself in the "store" mode/menu regarding minutia, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, what I want is a free to download player/tuner app that will stream radio stations.. that has NO monthly fees that are/would be linked to my credit card automatically (that's the way iphones roll I guess).

Tune-in Radio

All you will need.

If you want radio stations such as actual radio stations broadcasted online.

If you want music, open the music app and if your iOS is updated enough you can use iRadio and make your own stations based on what you like.
