Only if you have a .300 Blackout or similar cartridges. Accurate 1680 is a very fast burning powder with limited applications.

Always study load data for the round(s) you plan to use it for before buying ANY powder so you know you CAN use it and have some versatility with it.

I ONCE bought a lb of powder somewhat impulsively without 'CAREFULLY' looking at data and later realized while it had SOME use for me it was kind of limited.

TO my defense it WAS during a shortage and there wasn't much on the shelves at the time but I had other options and never used it. Heck I may offer it up sometime free gratis to anyone who may be passing through LaPine sometime.

That's a good price these days. Go to Hodgdon's and select loads by powder. In the lower right hand section. You will see all the cartridges they have load data for with the powder you selected.

1680 can cover loads from 17 hornet to 458 SOCOM.

I have used 1680 in 300blk, 7.62x39, 458 socom, 45-70 and 6.8 spc. If I found it for that price I would buy a couple jugs.

Still a good buy as everywhere else I have seen it is priced about $10/# more.

1680 could also be used for 223 loads but data is very limited.

If one goes to the shooters world website and looks at the chart they have on powders they sell, and what others sell and the similarity in burn rate and use the relative equivalents are: 680 Winchester, reloader 7, SW blackout, and European D063.02(last box)...
