Absent from SHOT show 2017

There were two new firearms that received a lot of hype back in 2016 which were absent from SHOT show 2017.

The Sccy CPX-3 a slightly smaller 380 version of the Sccy CPX-2, and the Extar EXP-9 piston driven AR pistol that locks back with 9mm Glock magazines.

Anyone hear any news about either?

Well blow me down. Gunblast visited the Sccy booth and they announced an April 2017 launch date for the CPX-3.

Thanks to YouTuber mixflip it looks like New Frontier Armory still had the Extar EXP-9 on display, but still no release date.

I like the idea of the xtar exp9 , but It looks pretty cheap being all plastic.

I had a AR pistol built on a frontier arms plastic lower and traded it because it felt like junk

I have not seen any complaints about the Extar EXP-556 other than the huge fireballs of powder burning infront of the muzzle. Lots of videos showing 100 round drums going through it without any hiccups.

Light weight for book bag carry.
