I wonder if they forgot to do their due diligence and determine if the turbines were in a commonly used eagle corridor. My guess is profit came first.

It isn't just eagles, these "blender farms" are also killing massive numbers of birds that don't have press agents and lobbyists ....
... covering thousands of acres of fragile desert eco-systems with solar panels isn't exactly the best idea either.

Yet. As we become more dependent on wind energy I have little doubt that there will be new taxes, enviro rules, and increased cost to license and regulate, and reasons to skyrocket the rates.

I am hoping that soon vertical axis wind turbines will have some bugs worked out and are deemed cost effective - at least in some locations.
