My sister was first a stroke patient then a traumatic brain injury patient, mainly affecting her left side so her walking ability is crap. She is one of the most determined bright sparks and is not to be stopped by anything, still living by herself and driving around. She's found an AI-powered neural sleeve for the leg that kind of takes over and retrains neurons on how to walk properly again. She just got the thing and with hyperbaric treatments she is also doing, her big thing was swimming with dolphins and her goal is to get to do that again (or at least get back on airplanes and fly places).
