Hey all, I've got a TM 80% AR lower coming in the mail. Much as I think I'd enjoy buying a small mill and learning how to do a little machining, I'm not sure I have the money or time right now.

So, does anyone know of any CNC shops in the Portland area that - for a reasonable fee - will let a guy come in load his work in a jig and hit the start button? I've been looking online, but only see them in CA.

Thanks!

Ha! Well, maybe that's a no. I suppose if I picked up a harbor freight mini mill, I could resell it after very light use and get most of my money back. Would be kind of fun to learn how to do some machining by hand.

No offense intended to the skilled, professional machinists out there who would laugh at a guy doing a one-off project on a sloppy hobby mill and call it "learning machining" ;-)
