My family is getting too big to fit in this rig, so before I sink a bunch of money into it, I am going to sell it.
This is a 1978 GMC Jimmy High Sierra. Small block 400 with Turbo 350 trans, 4x4.
It has power windows and door locks that have been functional in the last year. No motor for the power rear window. There is some good, some bad.
Bad: Tranny is slipping in low gears. It will need to be rebuilt soon. Needs a new battery. Needs brackets built to mount the suburban seats I bought for it. The back seat needs to be lowered. There is some body rust, but in repairable areas. As mentioned, no motor for rear window. The interior needs a good scrubbing as it's been sitting dormant in the valley rain for a year. Been started during that time, but not driven. Tags expired.
Good: Clean title, in hand. Straight frame, usable tub. Interior floor pans have been repaired and interior coated in bedliner. Top has been sealed on, so no leaks from there. The motor has been tuned and ran great last time I needed it. It has been rebuilt at least once, so mileage is unknown. This was a daily driver last year. Replaced the kinked hood last year as well.
I am asking $2000 or best offer (and I do mean best offer, within reason).
It will need to be trailered, but it's easily accessible.
Gun trade offers are welcome.
