.500 S&W Lever gun

I owned one of those, not sure of the manufacture date on it.

The cartridge came out around 2003, and the last NEF's were made around 2015. I was trying to figure out if it came out under Marlin or Remington management, who became owners in late 07.

New England Firearms made their SB2 single shot rifle in this chambering. Just now I was looking on Google to see when they were made, as I know it was toward the latter part of the time this design was sold. Well, the AI answer said they don't exist, but I know that isn't true. So much for the reliability of AI information. Even with the fairly hefty NEF barrels, I'd think recoil would be substantial, as the gun itself doesn't have all that much mass. They sell for semi-stupid money on Gunbroker.

I have a spare barrel for one that I am never going to use. If anyone were to be interested for a minimal fee.

You would be wise to put that up on ebay and you will get very respectable money for it.

I don't know how I missed these. Packs a nice punch. But it's like $3000. That's crazy.
